In Ayurveda, Vata is one of the three fundamental principles in body. It governs the nervous system and is also responsible for all movements and sensations in the body. It is dry, light, cold, mobile, quick, changeable, subtle and rough.
When Vata is in balance, one feels happy, energetic and enthusiastic. The mind is clear and alert. The sense organs are efficient and other activities are normal.
When Vata is imbalanced or disturbed, it causes exhaustion, depression, fear restlessness and disorders like pain, stiffness, dryness, paralysis, hypertension, heart diseases etc

Withania somnifera (root)…..It is the best rejuvenative herb, particularly for the muscles, marrow and semen and for Vata constitution. It is calming and promotes deep sleep…..
it inhibits aging and catalyzes the anabolic
processes of the body. It is used in all kinds
of weakness and tissue deficiency in children
and also in elderly who are suffering from
overwork, lack of sleep or nervous exhaustion
Cyperus rotundus (tuber).........
It improves digestion and the absorption in small
intestines thereby stops diarrhea & helps
to destroy parasites. It relieves menstrual pain
and dispels premenstrual congestion of blood.
In combination, it is particularly good for emotional
problems of PMS, i.e., depression and irritability.
Glycyrrhiza glabra (root).......
great toxifier .. aids the liver in discharging the
poisons it filters from blood. Also allows the kidneys
to filter in turn and eject these poisons from the
blood. Increases the life span of the intestinal
cells & enhances the strength of gastrointestinal
tract lining. It works as good emetic for cleansing
the lungs and stomach. It helps harmonize the qualities
of other herbs, countering heat and dryness and reducing
toxicity
Rubia cordifolia (stem)… It is the best blood purifying herb….good
for all inflammatory
conditions of the blood.

Dip one pouch of Vata Tea into a cup of boiling water. Cover with a lid for two minutes and stir. The drink is ready. You may add milk to taste. For maximum benefits, one pouch three times a day should be taken. |
